Having started his career in 1962 with Maharashtra Chamber Of Commerce for their Monthly Magazine “Vaibhav”, Mr. Patankar got valuable experience of working closely with leading advertising agencies then, like Shilpy Advertising and National Advertising etc. as well as extensive knowledge and exposure to various media. He also had an opportunity to represent “Gomantak” a well known Daily from Goa.
As a part of the professional work he was interacting closely with leading media personalities including Mr. Vijay Tendulkar, Mr. Madhav Gadkari, Mr. Madhu Mangesh Karnik. In line with his entrepreneurial vision he ventured into a partnership firm named Expresso Advertising in early seventies and subsequently started his own advertising agency in the name of AVI ADVERTISING in 1984 and on the strength of good copywriting, Attractive Captions, Effective Selection Of Media M/s AVI ADVERTISING got good response from clients and started functioning as a full fledge Advertising Agency.

As the company was growing at a fast pace, Mr. Ajay Patankar,son of Late Avinash Patankar, was inducted into AVI ADVERTISING in the year 1984. On the basis of on the job training, hands on working style and father as a mentor, Ajay was able to handle the growth successfully and in fact was instrumental in getting accreditation for AVI ADV

On the basis of on the job training, hands on working style and father as a mentor, Ajay was able to handle the growth successfully and in fact was instrumental in getting accreditation for AVI ADVERTISING from The Indian News Paper Society, New Delhi, in 1994.
He continued to acquire relevant professional skills through continuous educational courses relevant for technology upgrades including Ms Office from CDAC, Web Designing and DTP etc. Recently with the Management education facilities; Ajay has undergone a Management Diploma in Advertising and Public Relation from Welingkar Institute of Management. After the sad demise of his father & mentor, Mr. Avinash Patankar, Ajay is running the operations independently since 2004
